Frequently Asked Questions

Can you change the print inside the banner stand?

Yes, you can but only on our Premium and Rainbow models. Unfortunately, our entry-level units are not recommended for applications where swapping the graphic is required.

How quickly can you do my large format printing?

Standard turnaround is 3-5 working days depending on how complex your project is but a simple poster can be done same day and a banner stand within a couple of hours.

I sent you the artwork as a PDF, why are you sending me a PDF proof?

The PDF we send back to you has been ‘processed’ at our end ready for printing, it’s not the same as the PDF artwork that you originally sent us. You should carefully check this as embedded images and fonts may have ‘dropped off’ despite our best efforts between softwares.

What kind of logo do I need to provide?

Ideally we need a vector eps – this is a specialist illustrator file which allows us to scale the logo up to any size without any loss of resolution or pixellation on smooth curves. If you don’t have this or can’t get it, we can recreate this for you. Alternatively a high res PDF will often do the job as well!

What resolution images do you need from me?

As large as possible please! Send us what you have and we’ll let you know if we can use them or need to look for something with a higher resolution.

How quickly can you start on my design project?

We can usually start within the week of your approving costs. We will always work with you to define your schedule and meet your needs. By being in central London our design team are able to meet with you face-to-face, gain feedback and make amendments in an extremely short space of time, adding value to your project by being local to you.

What about website security and back-ups?

Our websites are built with basic standard security. Having said that, the web is an ever developing beast and new security issues are coming up on a daily basis so, we do recommend you take out a website security and maintenance package with us. We can then review and update your website to keep its security in line with new developments ‘in the wild’ as well as performing scheduled back-ups. Please ask your account manager for more information.

What support do you offer once a website is ‘live’?

We offer 90 days snagging support starting the day a site is approved and made live. Snagging is tweaks to existing stylesheets only (how the site looks) and any functionality problems in the unlikely event that there are any. Changes to content and changing functionality and design is chargeable at our usual rates.

What browser versions do you code for?

Unless otherwise agreed as a part of the project price, like most web developers, we code for the latest version of all browsers and the version that came before that whilst allowing wherever possible for graceful degradation on browsers which are out of date . For all other versions, we take part in Browser-Update.org which displays a short message at the top of the screen recommending that the user upgrade. If we tried to code for every version ever issued of a browser, it would be pretty much impossible to deliver within a reasonable timeline and the cost per site would be phenomenal!

What resolution images do you need from me?

As large as possible please! Send us what you have and we’ll let you know if we can use them or need to look for something with a higher resolution.

What website platforms do you use?

We are pretty much platform agnostic. We work on everything from bespoke php and html sites through to those built on content management system (CMS) website such as WordPress, Drupal and Joomla. We prefer WordPress as it offers a huge amount of functionality and options to clients at a reasonable price.

How should we set-up our files for print?

For printing under A3 in size, the ideal solution is to send us your artwork as a PDF which has 3mm of bleed and crop marks. If you do not have your files in this format, we have lots of other ways to help.

Please note that for litho printing the PDF must be set for spot Pantone colours.

How quickly can you do my printing?

For urgent projects we can usually turn your printing the same day or even within the hour for small jobs as we have our local outlets and the Production Unit but a little bit of notice is always nice as we can book you in and even arrange for a night shift where necessary! We have the capabilities across the Group to print over 75,000 sheets per hour and standard turnaround is 3-5 working days.

What is a clean sheet?

A clean sheet is when a page (or stack of pages) are not folded, do not have staples, are not ring-bound with dividers, the same size and are in a generally ‘clean’ flat sheet condition so that they can easily be passed through the scanner or copier. We can of course make your documents into ‘clean sheets’ but this is slightly more expensive

Can I have a copy of your price list?

Unfortunately we don’t have a set list of printing prices. Each and every client project is as individual as they are from the choice of papers, the different sizes, the number of ink colours, quantities, binding choice, folding, packing, shipping and more. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality solutions at competitive rates and we guarantee that you won’t find better customer service in central London.
